Time for Weight Loss

Most of us are always trying to lose weight. Either we weigh too much and want to lose the pounds or we have finally gotten to a size we like and are trying to maintain that size. Regardless of which you are, there is a certain amount of frustration in trying to follow one of those diets that you read about in a book or magazine. The main reason is the following problem...time.

There have been several diets I have looked at and I wondered where would I have the time to find and prepare these meals. If you live in rural America, the local Piggly Wiggly doesn't carry exotic foods and if they did how would a person like me who hates to cook follow all the directions to prepare something so it would be edible. Maybe that is the plan that if I can't buy it or cook it then I just don't eat.

I have also wondered that if I had the time to spend thinking about everything I ate, I wouldn't need to be on a diet anyway. Most of us eat unhealthy foods because we are in a hurry not because we thought about it and made the choice.

My thought about losing weight is this. You need to start by making small decisions, like skip the cheese on my double cheese burger, I will have the sandwich without the fries, get the low fat macaroni, try one meal a week that is soup (vegetable), and start by being more selective on what types of junk food you eat-- pick the lesser of the evils. These small things won't make you lose weight immediately, but it will build your self control and everyone has time for that.
